Composite Decking: What do I Need to Know About it?

Maintenance free, composite decking seems to be the wave of the future. But I’m sure you’re asking yourself, is it too good to be true? What is the catch?

The catch always used to be it was more expensive. However, in our current COVID world with increased wood prices, that is no longer the case. Composite decking is now cheaper and can have anywhere from a 25-50yr warranty. This means you pay less money and have a deck that outlasts a wood deck.

Composite decking is made of roughly 8% organic material (e.g., wood fibers, wood chips, and sawdust) which is then glued together and caped in a plastic. You are never going to be able to replicate wood exactly, the composite brands we offer provide a beautiful, clean, and polished deck.
